However, this grape variety Agiorgitiko is the success of Greek wines . The best wines are aged for at least 4 years ( at least 2 years in the barrel, 2 years in the bottle) . Aging in oak (especially young) barrelsconceals its own flavors varieties, so many Greek winemakers wine barrels stand of walnut, which does not transmit flavors guilt positive effect only on its acidity . Many experts say that the best wines from Xinomavro resemble the great wines of Bordeaux . Some are similarities between variety Xinomavro and Pinotnoir .
