The flowers are small, white, gathered in elongated inflorescence consisting of 3 - 5 rounded spikelets-eminent beams are located at the ends of branches . The leaves and young stems are eaten as a spicy seasoning for salads, soups, meat and fish dishes - fresh (before flowering) in dried (at the end of flowering) .
