Borage - an annual plant . Lateral roots stem, numerous . Stem branched, pubescent, height 30 - 60 cm . Lower leaves petiolate, elliptic, obtuse; upper - ovate-oblong, sessile . blue flowers with a pink tinge, collected in the thyroid-paniculate inflorescence . The fruit consists of four large, elongated, slightly curved nuts . They are usually dark brown, sometimes light brown or almost black .
