Perennial plant height of 30 - 80 cm . Rhizome strongly branches . Stem branched, tetrahedral, dropped short hairs with an admixture of glands or nearly naked . The leaves are opposite, petiolate, ovate to rounded-rhombic, crenate-serrate omitted . The flowers are collected in a false ring in 6 - 12;cup with the bottom subulate teeth, long-hairy and glandular; corolla bluish-white or pale lilac . Four stamens, pistil with four separate top ovary and long style . Fruit - large, consists of four nutlets ovoid, black, shining . Weight of 1000 seeds - an average 0.62 g . 2 Seeds remain viable -3 years . Flowers in June - August . The fruits ripen in August - September .
