Pink Garden belong to the genus pink (Rosa L . ) Family Rosaceae . They are created as a result of a long and complex process of improving certain species of wild roses (rosehip) .

The flowers are the roseslarge or small (1 to 16 cm in diameter), they are located at the ends of shoots single or collected several pieces together to form a dense umbellate inflorescence paniculate . In some inflorescences often there are several dozen flowers . Flowers - bisexual . Inside them are clearly seen numerous pistils and stamens, which are located on thethe bottom of the receptacle . Expanding, receptacle becomes fleshy and with the stamens and pistils constitutes false fruit . These fruits walnut-shaped, one-seeded .

Currently, there are about 10 thousand . Pink varieties In Ukraine, the largest collection of them gathered in the Nikitsky Botanical Garden (Yalta) - more than 1700 varieties .
